Erin Buys-Wilks-
Erin has been a gymnast since age 3. Dance and Gymnastics were her most valued activities. Her journey led her as a teen to teach gymnastics for a local program, eventually to co-direct for two years. After High School Erin became a staff member for Cheer Michigan, a well known summer camp. She went on to coach at Reeths-Puffer High School, where she was given an opportunity in 2001 to develop a Competitive Cheer program. In 2019-20 school year, Erin returned to RP to assist the program and consult with the new coach. It has really come full circle, as now Erin's youngest daughter is a competitive cheerleader for the school that she developed the program for. Although her work with local cheer teams interests her, her true joy comes from working with young children. Currently, Erin plays all day with preschoolers and owns the Discovery School in Whitehall. She has committed her professional life to quality early childhood programming.
